Where the Playful Path to Confidence™ Begins
From the day they come home through adolescence
Puppies do not stay puppies for long.
From early socialization and household routines to the changing needs of adolescence, I help puppies, adolescent dogs, and their families build confidence, communication, and practical skills through thoughtful, relationship based learning.
My work is about more than teaching behaviors. It is about helping your puppy feel safe, understand their world, and grow into a confident companion.
Ways to Work Together
Every puppy and family needs something a little different. I offer several ways to provide individualized support.
Puppy Development in Your Home
For puppies 8 to 16 weeks old.
This five visit per week program provides consistent support during one of the most important stages of your puppy’s development. Sessions may take place in your home or include carefully selected outings focused on socialization, confidence, household routines, enrichment, and practical life skills.
Stay & Grow™
Designed to begin during early puppyhood, with continued support available through adolescence. Older puppies may also be considered following an individual evaluation.
Stay & Grow offers three hour puppy development blocks in my home for no more than two carefully matched puppies.
Puppies have opportunities to learn, rest, explore, build confidence, and practice appropriate social skills in a calm, closely supervised setting.
This is not daycare. Every block is intentional and tailored to the puppies participating.
One on One Development and Support
Individual sessions are available for puppies, adolescent dogs, and adult dogs whose needs fall within my areas of experience.
These sessions are ideal for families seeking focused support with confidence, settling, crate comfort, leash skills, greetings, household routines, foundational skills, cooperative care, or changing behavior as a dog matures.
Socialization Is About More Than Exposure
Socialization is not simply meeting more people or visiting more places. It is about how your puppy feels during those experiences.
Positive, thoughtfully supported experiences help puppies develop confidence and curiosity. Too much exposure, too quickly, can leave a puppy feeling overwhelmed.
I consider your puppy’s age, temperament, body language, health, vaccination status, and comfort level when planning new experiences.
The goal is not to expose puppies to everything. The goal is to help them feel safe and supported as they learn about their world.
Enrichment Is Learning
Learning begins long before a puppy hears the word “sit.”
Enrichment gives puppies safe opportunities to explore, solve problems, use their senses, and interact with their environment. It helps build curiosity, focus, confidence, and emotional regulation.
I also introduce practical skills such as recall, waiting, settling, leash foundations, and cooperative handling in ways that are clear, positive, and appropriate for each puppy’s stage of development.
A Thoughtful, Individual Approach
Every puppy is different. I pay close attention to what your puppy is communicating and adjust the experience accordingly.
If a puppy is not responding, I do not assume they are being stubborn. I look at the environment, the level of difficulty, and how the puppy may be feeling in that moment.
When puppies feel safe and supported, learning becomes possible.
This is the heart of Social Sniffers and The Playful Path to Confidence™. It is an approach built on trust rather than pressure.
